In the book Data and Goliath by Bruce Schneier, Schneier discusses the issues surrounding the constant surveillance of everyone and everything. Not a minute goes by where you are not being traced by a company or a government. Most notably in things such as your phone where they track where you are, who your with and how you spend your day. Or recording what you search online or order from a store on your computer. All of this is done for the sole purpose of making money. All information taken  is sold to other companies that then redistribute to other companies who use it to tailor how they advertise their products to you. This creates many issues to do with privacy as almost nothing is hidden from corporations and governments and now they know the most intimate things about you. For example your sexual orientation or whether or not you are pregnant meaning that no one can ensure what people know about you.
