Well that first half term went quickly, so what is going to be happening in the second. Here is a brief overview of the upcoming week for all ITGS students:-

ITGS Grade 11

  • Review and grading of Hardware Video on Tuesday - Can you beat the Labrats (note I will need for you all to export your video as a small file you could embed on the weblog -then we can post them which should be fun.)
  • CC Chapter 3 Mini Test - on Tuesday (review and any questions on Monday.)
  • Wednesday will be final grading for the E-waste Wiki articles AND the E-waste questions which should be printed and handed to me. Also on Wednesday I will be giving you two exam based questions following the format of a normal ITGS Paper 1 question to see how much you have gained and understood from the Wiki exercise. We will also have a discussion and come up with a list of answers for the E-waste problem as a manifesto to publish in the classroom.
  • Finally on Thursday you will need to present your article and initial research into the IT system related to that article to the class - the easiest way to do this is add a blog post with links to article and your description of 'HOW' the IT system works in detail.

I will be grading all work and will also sit down with you on Thursday to discuss your first quarter performance and grade -and targets for improvement for the next quarter.

ITGS Grade 12

  • For Tuesday ALL chatbots ready along with your understanding and explanation of what a Turing test is and whether your chatbot would pass the test?
  • Research up date for three areas of artificial intelligence by Wednesday ready for briefing on assignment details.
  • Confirmation of interviews for your Portfolio Extension on Thursday along with draft questions - note third portfolio first draft is not too far away!
  • For those doing the project - I will need your questions and interview written up - explaining in detail what you project will entail by Thursday.
  • We will be reviewing the AI Chapter at the beginning of the week - mini test the week after :) ~

As with Grade 11's, I will sit down and discuss your first quarter grades with you and how I believe things are going.
