Have you ever wondered what it will be like if you have to use the office application but they were only avaliable online. Would you ever used an online office application if not, then here is chance for you to find out what it is like to use an online office application.

Zoho is a type of web office suite. It is a website which includes a word processor which in known on the website as writer, spreadsheet which is known as a sheet , there is a extensive suite which is also avaliable to you which includes project which is known as project management software, show which is known as presentation or in other words in can be called a PowerPoint presentation, Virtual office which is known as groupware with a calendar, email client, and last but no means least is a planner which is known as organizer for reminders and also notes.

Zoho writer is just like a simple word document which includes tools like for example check spelling, align the text, create bullet points or even numbers and also control the font which includes tools like for example the size of the font and the style of the fonts and the color of the font. If you ask for the spell checker to check for spellings it will simply just underline the mistake that you have done. But there however a bad thing about it as well which is that you just can’t right click and then find the correct spelling of the word that you have spelled wrong.

The Zoho office writer has many templates which includes templates like for example student IDs to a medical form. In Zoho writer you can see two different drafts of the same essay to see what you did wrong and what you did right and what you shouldn’t have done and what you should have done.

You can also share some of your documents with your friends but you will have to send them an invitation and then they will have to make their own account and then you share your document with your friends either in blog or a web page.

You have 1GB online library that is avaliable to you on Zoho which provided without any charges. You can even export files in the word document on Zoho. The document that you export into the document in Zoho can be PDF, RTF, text, HTML, SXW is a star office, and ODT is an open office. Zoho has some difficulty opening with Internet explorer 6 but it can open fine with Firefox 2.0. It has some difficulty opening large worksheets which might include a sheet with over a 50 rows of data in it.

It will have even have difficulty opening those sheet which might have more columns. The Zoho sheet which is like a excel sheet has tools like for example column, bars, lines and part charts which are available in2D and also 3D. But the good part is that the overall results are pretty good and also pleasing. Zoho office suite may not be the perfect suite. But it does have some of the features and tools that a normal word document and excel spreadsheet has.

The main shortcoming of this Zoho office suite is that it doesn’t have proper word document or even a proper excel document which is quiet bad since some people might relay on this website to use for their communication with their employees or even clients. Here is a link to essay that I wrote on the Zoho office suite:

The main social and ethical issue which arises some this website or office suite is that how reliable is this website whether we can be reliable towards how this website is set out. How secure is the website is with the security, whether they will let some unauthorized person use the data that we have put on the website. What are the policies and standards of the website, do they have any rules regarding the appropriate use of the website. Do they have rule regarding the governing of access.

I think that Zoho Office suite is type of web 2.0 because in a web 2.0 you can read and write and in this website you can read and on the other hand you can also write in it as well...
